Lady Gaga Residency at Park MGM Theater Is a Done Deal

MGM Resorts has snagged another bona fide superstar for its Park Theater at Park MGM (currently Monte Carlo). We have it on good authority Lady Gaga has been signed for a 50-show residency.

Expect an official announcement of the deal this week.

The dollars involved, of course, will be staggering. Our source shares that the deal for 50 shows will pay Lady Gaga a whopping (wait for it) $100 million. (Recent reports say 74 shows.)

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga will soon bring her special brand of WTF to the Las Vegas Strip.

Park Theater is set to be a major player in the Las Vegas live entertainment scene. Bruno Mars has a series of shows lined up for Dec. 2017 and Feb. 2018.

Cher, too, is scheduled for a residency of 18 shows through May 2018.

Rumors have circulated since June 2017 that Lady Gaga would be one of the new residencies at Park Theater, but now we’re hearing it’s a fait accompli.

There have also been rumors about Justin Timberlake joining the list of musical luminaries at Park MGM, but it doesn’t appear that’s in the cards at the moment.

We have heard Timberlake will perform two mammoth shows at the T-Mobile Arena in April 2018.

Stay tuned for the official confirmation of Lady Gaga’s residency at Park Theater.

Competition for big name talent among the major Las Vegas music venues is reaching new heights, so expect ticket prices to do the same.

Update (12/181/7): The Las Vegas Review-Journal has confirmed our story, although it claims there will be 36 shows. The numbers provided ($400,000 per show) does not take into account the agreed-upon extension or compensation from deal points like merchandise.

Update (12/19/17): Our story has been confirmed officially by MGM Resorts and Lady Gaga herself. Her Park MGM residency starts in Dec. 2018. The residency will span two years and further details will be announced in the coming months, according to a news release. Variety sets the number of shows at 74 and confirms our $100 million figure for the run.

Update (8/7/18): Lady Gaga has finally officially confirmed 27 shows through 2019. The residency will consist of two different shows, “Lady Gaga Enigma” and several “Jazz and Piano” shows.

Radio? Local stations? Have satiliet Radio and get to hear music, no commercials for a lawyer giving out checks! Lady Gaga? HHmmm…

Seriously, I know her name of course but have no clue about her music. I listen to only talk radio and classic rock while I drive (a couple hours a week) and have ZERO music on my phone, iPad and four Laptops. I refuse to financially support an industry politically opposed to my values.

If given VIP seats, meet and greet access to Ms Gaga I’d call a local charity and donate them to a needy young person who would appreciate the experience. I wish her well, mean no harm to her but have zero interest in her style of music and politics.

Ideally, a well-rounded education should include academics, music, the arts, social and physical skills, and talk radio. Based on my observations, talk radio is more important than science to most people. It’s knowledge that flows like free beer. And given enough free beer you didn’t even need an education. You got it all.

I cannot take too much of either talk radio (mainly the news) or music (just classic rock) these days. The constant fake news, ignorance and commercials (I refuse to pay for satellite radio) just piss me off. I sometimes have six hour drives so I just do them in quiet, occasionally yelling at other drivers who are giving me the finger for the clouds of blue smoke emitting from the tailpipe of the ‘73 Vega (It’s economical, I get 28 miles to the quart).

Science is everything to me, more than social skills. If I had friends they’d tell you that was true.

Biggest fan? Are you over 8 feet tall and weigh in exces of 1200 lbs? Or perhaps a windmill with the capability to communicate with humans? Silly comment.

I have no such tickets, will never get any comped as MGM screws the visitors and locals by requiring them to pay for parking if you want to visit their casinos.

You are a fine judge of purity. Lady Gaga is not only a sensational entertainer, but checks ALL the boxes for decency, intellect, and morality. Let’s do some math here. Could the indecent, unintelligent, immoral (not to mention crappy entertainer) Ted Nugent command $100 million for 50 shows in Las Vegas? I can’t stop laughing at the question.

Britney is disgusting. She deserves to rot for making this happen. I can’t believe a arthritic, stale, monstrosity like her could make such a talent as Lady Gaga do a Vegas residency when she is more than capable of selling out a WORLDWIDE TOUR – something whitegirlwhoageslikemilk spears fails to do.

        1. Marc

… she said she was Mother Monster (with arthritis)!!! she isn´t anymore???!!!…oooooooh, poor little orphans monsters then!

Britney may not be the best dancer but gaga and dancing are two worlds apart!

You’re like 3 years old… And resorting to name calling is childish. What the f*ck is the matter with you. And not for nothing but when you’re 34 and worth $185million im pretty sure comments and name calling from some little cumdumpster slut from middle America really means shit. Grow the f*ck up gretchen and sit the fuck down.

First of all, Britney’s CHOICE to do a Vegas residency instead of a world tour is to not travel and spend more time with her kids. You may be living under a rock if you think Britney can’t sell out a world tour. She has done a short tour this year in Asia and it was sold out. She also went to Israel, had a huge crowd and the show was sold out. People around the world will still pay to see her. Her show in the UK was also hyped as f*ck. Plus, don’t come for Britney’s dancing when you know for a fact there are several videos online that prove Britney can dance. Maybe she doesn’t dance as well as used to but still better than many singers today. I’m not gonna sit here and write nasty things about Gaga just to make Britney look better (like how you’re trying to make Gaga look better). Y’all need to stop pitting women against each other. If Gaga loves Britney and vice versa, who the fuck are we to put them against each other?

You’re a fucking idiot kid. Gaga has less of a market in the music industry and when people come to Vegas to play, it’s the last place before they ruin their music careers. Not one artist has ever here gone back to mainstream and well their music no longer gets played on the radio. Due to clear channel, and contracts. So she is actually here to ruin her careers

$2M per show, with a capacity of 5,200 seats means – assuming they all sell out – an avergae of ~$385 per ticket just for MGM to break even…. FUCK that.

    1. Bobby Moon

They don’t need to break even on ticket sales. Hotel reservation, gaming revenue, concessions.. they are good lol.

      1. Mike L

True, but you’d think they would at least want to break even on the shows, since I don’t think they are loss leaders anymore.

  3. Chris

Too bad I wont be seeing her there. MGM doesn’t support the LGBTQ community. Why would she even perform outside at a park after all the shootings?

    1. Ryan

I agree, very odd choice for Gaga. My partner and I live in Vegas and we have seen Britney several times. I would recommend that show before it’s gone forever!!!

    2. Alex

What a bizarre conclusion. How does one see “Park Theater” and decide this is an outdoor park?

Hint: Madison Square Garden isn’t a garden, either.

  4. Shio

Came for the comments with popcorn in hand./

Isnt this GaGa lady that HIV singer that carries around a donkey dick with her?
