Injured Neck, Stage Fright Showcased in Two-Hour Britney Spears Documentary

We knew there would be some drama surrounding the build-up to the Britney Spears residency at Planet Hollywood, but apparently there’s enough to fill a two-hour “movie event” on E! Entertainment Television. The network will air “I Am Britney Jean” on Dec. 22, 2013.

Britney Spears
Forbes says Britney Spears was the highest paid female musician of 2012, earning $58 million.

The documentary chronicles Britney Spears and her team as she prepares for her Planet Hollywood show, “A Piece of Me” that debuts Dec. 27, 2013. The show will take place in the soon-to-be-renamed The Axis theater (currently PH Live).

Here’s a teaser for the movie on E!

In the trailer, we get snippets of the show, as well as a hint of what Britney Spears describes as a “serious” neck injury she suffered during rehearsals.

We trust you’ll be watching the documentary on E! like we are, right? Hint: Expect the stage fright to be momentary and the neck injury, if any, to not be particularly life-threatening.

Honestly, we don’t mind sitting through a two-hour advertisement, as long as it takes place in Las Vegas.
